To the lighthouse
The night before.
Slow start. A real bed close to the trailhead, a strong coffee in the morning. No pre-dawn drive up to the cape.
The day of.
Step off the deck and onto the track. Your car stays safe behind the gate while you're out there.
The night after.
Hot shower, dry clothes, and the kind of deep sleep that only follows a full day on the cape.

Where you’ll be
At the end of the road in Rawhiti.
Oke Bay Lodge sits 200 metres up from the Cape Brett trailhead. Park the car, walk to the lodge, sleep, and step onto the track in the morning. No shuttles, no driving in the dark.
Parking
Leave the car safe
Off-road overnight parking for cars, trailers, and boats. Paid on arrival: cash, transfer, PayPal, or Wise.
Accommodation
Sleep before the tramp
Roll into a bed before the early start. Three options, all walking distance from the trail.
On the property
A native garden between you and the track.
Walk out the back of the lodge and you’re in coastal bush — kererū overhead, ferns underfoot, the occasional ruru after dark. Take five minutes between the car and the trail to walk it, or watch the tour below.
The Bay of Islands
More than just the track.
Stay an extra night and swim with dolphins at Oke Bay, kayak the coast, or just sit on the deck and watch the kererū work the cabbage trees out front.
